A Georgia car and truck collision left one person dead and another person injured on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. The accident happened around 4:40 p.m. between exits 92 and 93 on Interstate 20.
According to police, a 19-year-old male was driving an Acura Integra with a 19-year-old male passenger when he allegedly lost control, hit the median and crossed several lanes of traffic before being hit by a westbound tractor trailer. The truck hit the car on the driver's side door.
The 19-year-old passenger in the car was identified as Michael Dylan Dunn, of Covington, Georgia. Mr. Dunn was ejected from the Acura during the crash, and he died at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Acura was seriously injured and taken to Atlanta Medical Center. The truck driver was not reported to be hurt in this crash.
Police have done a preliminary investigation into this Georgia car accident but have not yet completed their investigation or released additional details about this crash.
